This program has the full endorsement of Dr. Casey who is very eager to begin a dental hygiene program. The plans have been reviewed by a number of dentists and fortunately for us we have a volunteer, Linda Wolfe, who has experience with dental clinics and has made some recommendations.

BJVIM is truly a volunteer clinic with 16 departments, 14 of which are managed by volunteers. With your continued commitment in 2019, our volunteers helped to provid 5,500 patient medical visits, 3,161 lab tests, 111 mental health visits, 431 off site diagnostic test, 208 referred dental visits and from our pharmacy filled 7,212,prescriptions! Over 10,000 volunteer hours were logged in.

Buckle up, we’re in for a long and eerie ride with the COVID-19 pandemic.
That’s medical advice from a local doctor who ought to know — Dr. Kathleen Casey of Bluffton.
She is the new medical director at the Greater Bluffton Jasper County Volunteers in Medicine, which uses retired professionals to offer free medical care to the underserved or uninsured.
BJVIM SPRING FLING BENEFIT POSTPONED
BLUFFTON, S.C. – Due to Gov. McMaster’s state of emergency declaration – the BJVIM Spring Fling Fashion Show and Luncheon has been postponed til Thursday, May 28th from 11:30a.m. – 1:300 p.m. The Bluffton Jasper County Volunteers in Medicine regrets this inconvenience but believes it is in the best interest of all attendees.
IMPORTANT UPDATE from BJVIM on CORONAVIRUS
Due to Gov. McMaster’s state of emergency declaration, we have now closed the clinic.
Patients may call in to speak to a nurse if necessary. Patients may also call to refill their prescriptions. Prescription pick ups will be on Tuesday afternoon from 1-3 and Thursday mornings from 10-12. We will continue to update this page as we receive new information.

In 2019 the BJVIM provided 5,485 patient visits, filled over 7,000 prescriptions, referred 431 patients to outside specialists, performed 1,429 on site diagnostic tests + provided 180 dental visits all with an operating budget of $600,000.00.
