In December, we received a very special donation from Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Magro to begin a dental program. Since that time we have met with dental supply companies and Joe Fraser of Fraser Construction who will eventually renovate the back two bathrooms into our new dental/hygiene clinic.
This program has the full endorsement of Dr. Casey who is very eager to begin a dental hygiene program. The plans have been reviewed by a number of dentists and fortunately for us we have a volunteer, Linda Wolfe, who has experience with dental clinics and has made some recommendations.
On April 8th we submitted a grant to Delta Dental for $100,000 which combined with the Magro donation will allow us to begin our project. We should hear about this grant sometime in May. Recently Dr. Mar Dusek and Dr. Christopher Deleon donated two dental chairs and waiting room furniture in addition to a piece of dental equipment to us! Our dream is quickly becoming a reality.
