Reflecting on the past year, 2018 was a year of transition! Thanks to the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry, who provided us with the down payment and a mortgage through Palmetto State Bank, we moved into our very own building on August 31st. Truly, the organization has been blessed with generous benefactors that persist in their support and kindness.
Our vision is: “No one in our community will go without access to quality healthcare.” In pursuit of that goal, we continue to build an organization that now has 15 volunteer medical providers, 20 volunteer nurses and 52 volunteer administrative staff, which in 2018 delivered medical services valued at almost $2.4 million.
The need for healthcare in our communities is great and growing. In 2019, we anticipate adding 300 new patients and 1,000 additional patient visits. Beyond 2019, the explosive growth in Bluffton and Jasper County will likely only accelerate. Community support is essential to manage our growth.
